Volcano Marsili

Make the issue more contentious, is the fact that a possibility of one eruptions the volcano Marsili, was expressed several months ago.
Marsili is a volcano high more of 3000 meters, it’s considered one of the largest in Europe and is localized under the surface the sea Mediterranean, reaching the top of the altitude of approximately 450 meters below the surface of the Tyrrhenian Sea end it lies about 140 km North of Sicily and 150 km West of Calabria.

It had been considered a volcano very dangerous because its own eruption, could trigger a disaster tsunami in the sea Mediterranean causing effects of large proportions along the coasts.
A collapse of the magma chamber, that turned out to be rather brittle, would cause a shift of the water with consequences of unleash a seaquake, to result would be waves high also tens of meter, that would spread at very high speed through out the Mediterranean sea.
The areas most affected would be those of South Italy and islands being clearly the areas most exposed to the threat.
Following of a study, it was demonstrated some months ago that the volcano is active, already then has been observed that there are many emission of hydrothermal issued by the volcano Marsili, which proves the activities inside the volcanic complex, so as underlined also by Enzo Boschi, president of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and who led the research on the volcano Marsili.
Recent and new observationd have reconfermed what was said initially, the volcano is active and could set off a very dangerous seaquakes on mediterranean at any moment and without warning.
Make unnecessary alarms is secure wrong, however we have to consider and accept that also the Mediterranean basin, can in some sense present their own risks, especially considering who it’s a volcanic and seismic area.

A rendere la questione più controversa, è il fatto che la possibilità di una eruzione del vulcano Marsili, fu espressa già diversi mesi fa.
Marsili è un vulcano alto più di 3000 metri, considerato uno tra i più grandi d’Europa ed è situato sotto la superfice del mare Mediterraneo, raggiungendo con la sommità la quota di circa 450 metri al di sotto della superficie del mar Tirreno e si trova a circa 140 km a Nord della Sicilia e 150 km a Ovest di Calabria.

È stato considerato un vulcano molto pericoloso poichè una propria eruzione, potrebbe innescare un disastroso tsunami nel mare Mediterraneo, causando effetti di grosse proporzioni lungo le coste.
Un collasso della camera magmatica, che si è rivelata piuttosto fragile, provocherebbe uno spostamento delle acque con le conseguenze di innescare un maremoto, il risultato sarebbero onde alte anche decine di metri, che si propagherebbero ad elevatissime velocità attraverso tutto il mar Mediterraneo.
Le aree maggiormente colpite sarebbero quelle del sud Italia e le isole essendo chiaramente le zone più esposte alla minaccia.
A seguito di uno studio, è stato dimostrato alcuni mesi fa che il vulcano è attivo, già allora fù osservato che ci sono molte emissioni idrotermali emesse dal vulcano Marsili, il che proverebbe l’attività interna del complesso vulcanico, così come sottolineato anche da Enzo Boschi, presidente dell’Istituto nazionale di geofisica e vulcanologia e che ha condotto la ricerca sul vulcano marsili.
Recenti e nuove osservazioni hanno riconfermato quanto detto inizialmente, il vulcano è attivo e potrebbe scatenare maremoti molto pericolosi nel Mediterraneo da un momento all’altro e senza preavviso.
Fare inutili allarmirsi è sicuramente sbagliato, tuttavia bisogna considerare e accettare del fatto che anche il bacino del Mediterraneo, può sotto un certo aspetto presentare i propri rischi, considerando soprattutto che quest’ultima è un area sismica e vulcanica.
